1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a great robot vacuum that comes with a range of innovative features that make it much easier to maintain than most competing models. The automatic bin emptying feature is one of the most useful features we've encountered in the form of a robot, and it works well with hard floors as well as carpets. It's also simple to install and use, with the app guiding you step-by-step through the process. Another notable feature is the ability to go back to the spot where it left off in our tests--it did this for 77 mins on one cleaning before running out of battery.
Contrary to other robovacs that we test, the i3+ EVO has self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. The i3+ EVO can be kept from overfilling with a self-emptying bin. However, it must still be manually empty at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dust bin can hold 2.4L which is enough to last through four to five cleaning sessions.
Like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors that create maps. budget robot vacuum allows you to navigate in neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7's map is used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, however, not the i3+ EVO.
Although the i3+ EVO is better in picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we looked at, it's not the best for cleaning corners and edges. It is also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively silent. It pulled chairs away from walls and caused some collisions with the sides of our bed, and also was stuck to cords and toys while testing.
2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro
Whether you're expanding your robot vacuum collection or are just starting out, the Q5 Pro is a great option. It packs serious power, a smart navigation system, and handy automation into a sleek design at an affordable price. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model currently available and is even better than Roborock's higher-priced models in a variety of ways.
This robot does an excellent job of cleaning floors with no dust, and its avoidance technology helps it steer clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and scores the top score in our tests of navigation. The only snag is that it's noisier than many other models we test and doesn't perform as well in our owners satisfaction and predicted reliability assessments.
The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin that is 770ml, which means you won't have to empty it as often as some other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is extremely generous when compared to other models we've tested. When the battery is running low, it will automatically return to its dock where it recharges and then resumes cleaning from where it left off. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
This is one of the first robots we've seen to incorporate 3D mapping. This along with other advancements, helped it perform exceptionally well in our tests for vacuuming and mopping test. It allows you to schedule cleanings, set no-go zones and see the battery's status, among other things. The app is easy to use, but it doesn't support Apple HomeKit; that feature is expected to be available by 2025. As of November 1, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to indicate that this feature is delayed until 2025. HomeKit isn't compatible with other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.

The TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus robot vacuum cleaner is a fantastic option if you're looking for a vacuum that is able to mop and is reasonably priced. This model utilizes a dToF internal LiDAR sensor to map your home, creating efficient cleaning routes. The iMop excelled in our assessment of the effectiveness of navigation and coverage, and it was very good at getting around obstacles, such as furniture. It also has the ability to locate its way back to the base station which is a great feature in the event it's running out of battery during cleaning.
